    ​i’m 19 years old and live in Kelston, West Auckland. I completed the New Zealand Certificate in Automotive Engineering Level 3 at Unitec, where I gained hands-on experience in servicing and diagnosing automotive systems. I’m passionate about auto electrical work, high-performance engines, fabrication, panel work, and motorbikes. My short-term goal is to finish all my project cars, and long-term, I want to deepen my knowledge of different vehicles, especially classic cars, carburetors, and Subaru boxer engines. I hold a restricted driver’s license and have worked as a delivery driver for Domino’s and part-time at Bunnings Warehouse in the Paint Department for two years.

I completed the New Zealand Certificate in Automotive Engineering Level 3 at Unitec, where I developed a strong foundation in light vehicle servicing. I’m particularly interested in high-performance engines and light automotive systems. My short-term goal is to find a job in the automotive industry and begin my career, while continuing with a Level 4 apprenticeship and eventually pursuing a Bachelor’s degree. Long-term, I aim to open my own garage business. I’ve gained hands-on experience through roles at KNZ Painters Limited, Massey High School Workshop, and New Port Panel and Paint. These experiences have helped me build practical skills and a strong work ethic. I’m also interested in working with electric and hybrid vehicle systems.

I’m particularly interested in auto lighting and light automotive work. My short-term goal is to find employment in the industry, even if it’s not an apprenticeship right away. Long-term, I aim to become qualified and earn my WOF certification. I hold a full driver’s license and bring a wide range of work experience, including factory work, lawn mowing, and over ten years in roofing. I also hold a Level 3 qualification in plumbing and gas fitting. ​

Long-term, I aim to transition into heavy diesel and petrol to broaden my skills and experience. I’ve worked as a workshop assistant and turf technician at Golf & Turf Services, completed automotive work experience at Rodney Auto Centre, and worked as a picker/packer at Mighty Ape in Silverdale. I’m ready to take the next step in my career and grow within the industry. ​

Finding a job would help me complete my Level 4 Automotive Engineering, become fully qualified, and therefore continue with this chosen career path of mine.My goal is to become qualified as an automotive mechanic so that I could be of service to others and help those around me. I’ve always had a passion for cars, and this was something I have always wanted to do while growing up. Some of my other interests include sports – I love rugby, volleyball, and boxing. I also love cooking and going to gym. Church and family are also important to me, and I enjoy various genres of music including rap, reggae, gospel and R&B.

When I'm not busy I love to find things to fill my time, however I also know how to prioritise important things. When I find something I love I put my all into it. I’ve learnt a lot while completing my automotive studies and I’d be happy to be in any discipline that allows me to learn and grow more.I’d prefer a light automotive apprenticeship and am also interested in restoration, motorsport, and racing but I know I need to start somewhere. With that my goal is to learn and take as many opportunities as I can to progress within the field.I’d prefer to work as close as possible to Henderson though I can travel up to 30 minutes to work. I’d be happy to work on any brands, anything that gives me the opportunity to grow, even if it’s a smaller workshop.I can start any time as I am currently working part time 2 days a week and picking up extra hours where I can. This allows me the flexibility to start a full-time job anytime.

Additionally, I have been working with heavy diesel machinery such as diggers, dump trucks, loaders, these range from CAT, Komatsu, and Volvo at C and R Developments for the past 4 months.Outside of work, I have a passion for a number of things, this includes often spending my free time working on cars for myself and my friends. I also enjoy going camping and mountain biking as I love getting outdoors.I am looking for opportunities in locations ranging from East Auckland to South Auckland and am available to start work after a two week notice period with my current employer. As I enjoy working on both heavy diesel and light automotive, I am open to an apprenticeship in either field.
