We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join this team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conducting engine rebuilds, overhauling, handling wet dual clutch transmissions, AWD rebuilds, and diagnosing and resolving electrical and ECU faults with precision.


The role

  • General servicing

  • Diagnostics and fault finding

  • Minor and major repairs

  • Conduct engine rebuilds and overhauling with a keen attention to detail

  • Expertly handle wet dual clutch transmissions and AWD rebuilds

  • WOF checks



Requirements

  • Trade qualified automotive technician

  • WOF license preferred but not essential

  • Franchise brand training is a bonus

  • Confidence and skill in handling complex automotive systems

  • Solid diagnostics capability

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to work well in a busy, productive workshop

  • Accurate worker with good efficiency

  • Good references



In return
You will be paid a solid hourly rate with bonuses and have the opportunity to benefit from ongoing training and work in a well-appointed workshop, with a supportive team, in the beautiful Bay of Plenty region. Final pay rate will depend on your level of experience, brand training, and if you have a WOF licence - ranging from $32 to $40 per hour.
