We are seeking a trade qualified diesel technician looking for that next step up as a Foreman to join a top franchise truck dealership based in the beautiful capital city of NZ - Wellington.

Responsibilities

  • Service and maintenance of a broad range of trucks
  • Drive a team of technicians within the workshop
  • Major and minor repairs including COF repairs and accident repairs
  • Using modern electronic diagnostic tools to diagnose and repair faults
  • Operate from the workshop and attend breakdowns and call outs when required



Skills sought

  • A recognised automotive qualification, preferably as a diesel mechanic
  • Experience working on late model trucks
  • Sound technical skills and mechanical ability
  • Experience using electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Fault finding ability
  • Good communication skills
  • Make modifications and adaptations
  • Understand the pressure on the transport industry and be willing to exceed expectations to get customers back on the road
