An amazing opportunity has presented itself with a leading automotive franchise dealership committed to delivering top-tier customer service and maintaining high standards in vehicle maintenance and repairs.
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Service Advisor / Warranty Clerk to join this aftersales team and ensure the smooth processing of warranty claims and exceptional customer service.
The role
As a Service Advisor, you will be the vital link between customers and the service team, ensuring a seamless and positive experience. You will be responsible for providing expert advice, coordinating vehicle servicing, and delivering outstanding customer service.
Duties and accountabilities:
- Greet customers and assess their service needs
- Provide accurate information on vehicle maintenance and repair services
- Schedule service appointments and manage customer expectations
- Liaise with technicians to ensure timely and efficient service completion
- Communicate service progress and costs to customers
- Upsell additional services and maintenance when appropriate
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure accurate invoicing
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve concerns promptly and professionally
- Accurately process warranty claims in line with manufacturer guidelines
- Verify warranty coverage and liaise with technicians to gather necessary documentation
- Submit, track, and follow up on claims to ensure timely reimbursement
- Maintain detailed records of all warranty transactions
- Communicate with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers regarding warranty matters
The skills and experience sought
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor / Warranty Clerk or in a similar, customer-facing role in the automotive industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment
- A current, clean driver's license
- Solid knowledge of manufacturer warranty processes and policies
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proficiency in dealership management software (e.g., Kerridge, CDK, Pinnacle, or similar)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
